Chestertons BIG Breakfast 2024 Raises an Incredible £10,233!

Last Friday, Gibraltar came together for one of the most memorable mornings of the year—the Chestertons BIG Breakfast 2024. Thanks to an amazing community effort, we raised an outstanding £10,233 for GBC's Open Day charity.

Here’s how the day unfolded:

1. 1,845 pre-ordered breakfasts were delivered across 80 locations, including a remarkable 471 breakfast baps delivered to Situs across their three sites at Citihome, North Gorge, and Chatham, plus their head office.
2. For those preferring to swing by in person, 286 breakfast baps were cooked fresh and served outside our agency.

With over 5% of Gibraltar's population enjoying a delicious breakfast, it was all hands on deck! Our team started as early as 7am, tackling the ambitious task with energy and dedication.

This year’s success was made possible by the incredible support of our partners: Restsso, Morrison’s, Sam’s Meat-Free Deli, Bruno’s, and Caterpac. These generous contributors donated all the ingredients, allowing every penny raised to go straight to the charity. Chestertons further supported the cause by donating the equivalent value of the supplies to the fundraising total.

We were also thrilled to have Minister Christian Santos and GBC's Shelina Assomull join us, rolling up their sleeves to fry bacon and sausages alongside the legend himself, Brian the Chef from Bruno’s. Huge gratitude goes to the volunteers from RSM, Lottoland, NatWest, and TNG, who worked tirelessly throughout the morning and not forgetting the original big elf himself, Stuart from eBike Gibraltar, who helped with our deliveries,

Of course, the biggest thank you goes to all of you who bought a breakfast bap or donated to the cause. Your generosity and enthusiasm are what make the BIG Breakfast such a success year after year.

We’re already looking forward to doing it all again! Mark your calendars: the next BIG Breakfast will take place on Friday, 5th December 2025. Let’s see if we can beat this year’s total!
