Tim Benson of Chestertons and David Frier of Capital Trustees are heading to Prague to run the City Half Marathon on Saturday 1st of April. Tim and David completed the Great North Run in Newcastle last September raising over £4,000 for Declan and Children with Cancer UK. “This year we decided to raise funds for Calpe House” commented Tim, “an equally worthy cause and we are hoping to get to £5,000 by the end of the year with a series of challenges”. The boys are eyeing up the ‘Three Peaks in Three Days’ challenge in the summer covering Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales) followed by the Great North Run in September. “It will certainly be an active year” said Tim with an energetic glint in his eye.
Mike Nicholls, MD of Chestertons told us “I politely declined the invitation to join the boys on the run in Prague, however, I am delighted that we at Chestertons have contributed £500 to their fabulous choice of charity, the Calpe House Appeal. Fingers crossed they come back home safe and well”.
A Just Giving page is being set up at the moment, however, should you wish to donate, please contact Chestertons on 200 40041 or email info@chestertons.gi who can pass on any money raised.
