Two K for the GHA

Two K for the GHA Image

Everyone has a new routine, a different commute to work, perhaps navigating the dining room table instead of Trafalgar roundabout, bumping into your kids instead of electric scooters.  And the slowdown in life has created a new perspective for many.  The desire to do something charitable has reached new heights across the community, plagued by logistics but not desire.

Our very own Tim Benson, swabbed and cleared a few days later couldn’t sit idly by.  But what can you do in the confines of your home isolation unit?  Previous charitable endeavours included climbing Ben Nevis and Snowdown, but last week he was just climbing walls.

Meanwhile, without being able to go to the hairdressers, he was developing the shaggy look.  The look of a rocker from the 70’s just without musical ability.

The penny dropped and the hair clippers batteries were recharged.  But beforehand, Tim phoned round friends, family, clients and colleagues for sponsorship to shave off the lot.

The result is plain for all to see.

And £2k is on the way to the GHA COVID fund.

Well done Tim.
