Chestertons Gibraltar has announced that it is to sponsor leading second division side FC Bruno’s Magpies for the fourth consecutive season.
The sponsorship deal will once again see the Chestertons Gibraltar logo worn on the back of the home and away team shirts. Furthermore, Chestertons will continue to support the club by publishing the matchday programme, managing Magpie News (the club’s newsletter) and in offering corporate hospitality at matches. These offerings remain unique in the Gibraltar domestic football scene. The club has needed a win in the final game of each of the last two seasons to be promoted, but has failed on both occasions so has narrowly missed out on promotion. So it is hopefully third time lucky for season 2018/19.
Managing Director of Chestertons, Mike Nicholls, stated “We have enjoyed the affiliation with FC Bruno’s Magpies as the ethos behind our company and the football club is based on similar targets, ie to be the best in our sector. We will actively support the club on and off the field, continuing the momentum from the last three years which sets this club apart in how it seeks to grow the supporter base. The Magpies are renowned for attracting an ever growing band of supporters creating a club culture. We are proud to be able to contribute to that growth.”
Louis Perry, chairman of FC Bruno’s Magpies commented “We welcome the support of Gibraltar’s best estate agent, a brand well known locally and internationally, with its accolade of best estate agent awarded in London last year. We put equal effort into growing the club on and off the field and we believe that our ambition to win trophies will be underpinned by the increasing level of support we attract from the local community. We remain the only club to produce a matchday programme and we warmly welcome new fans. It was important to us that we secured another year of support from Chestertons. Our brands have become quite attached and we are both seen as the most proactive and market leaders in our respective fields."
